Family Stays (min. billing no 6, max. 30)

Your family group of 6 plus people can have exclusive use of our sustainable camp for 3-6 nights.  This rustic bush camp is 6km from the Far South Coast on the Bermagui River, just a 2 to 3 hour relaxing paddle to our nearest coastal town or a 30-60 minute mountain bike ride and a 10 minute drive with 4 km of gravel road.  Booking weeks begin on a Saturday. The camp has:

  • solar power,
  • wood and gas stoves
  • slow combustion wood fireplaces
  • a train carriage bunkhouse
  • bus house
  • large vegetable garden,
  • orchards
  • chickens
  • rainwater tanks
  • grey water reed beds
  • large outdoor covered roof space
  • fire circle beside the covered area
  • 50 acres of conserved forest to explore along the river (no pets are permitted because Kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas, glider possums, goannas, sea eagles, herons and many other native birds and animals are seen regularly on the property)
  • composting toilets (to ensure that water is not wasted and that the local environment is protected (composting toilets require you to add sawdust each time you use them to balance your nitrogen with some carbon to ensure that they stay have no odour.  Composting also requires that all lids are put down after each use to ensure hygiene.  Not everyone has used a compost toilet before but this is a part of our sustainable site.
