2023 Landcare Wild Weekend (Year 8-9)

Course Description
The Landcare Wild is a weekend hike and canoe journey. A great chance to meet friends from other schools and get to know them as part of a supportive group travelling on an adventure together. Evening campfires are a feature of the journey.
The adventure begins at 5pm on Friday at the Bermagui bridge boat ramp. The course finishes at 1pm on the Sunday at the Bermagui bridge boat ramp, after the canoe journey.
After a night in the bush sharing stories around the fire, on day two we hike to The Crossing camp, with time along the way to find out about our local koalas and their habitat.
In the afternoon the group will learn about the camp’s sustainable design. This includes tree planting on a river habitat corridor near the camp, as well as preparation and training for the final canoe journey back to Bermagui on Sunday.
The last day is a 6km canoe journey down the Bermagui River for a 1pm pick-up at the bridge boat ramp in Bermagui.

Refund Policy
Deposits are transferable for cancellations made more than 30 days in advance of program dates, less an administration charge of 20%. Cancellations with less than 30 days notice are liable for the full charge. Part refunds will only be considered before the program starts for circumstances covered by a medical certificate. If a participant has to end their adventure early for any reason, a refund will not apply. Participants may be permitted to join the program next year if they are eligible or transfer to another program of equivalent or greater value.
